Little, a little/few, a few

а little - немного = с неисчисляемыми существи­тельными, 

 а few - несколько = с исчисляемыми:

Give me а little water, please.

There is little milk in the bottle.

I have a few friends in Minsk.

I've got only few pencils in the box.
